Hi everyone! I am Brent. Your host of this year’s Helen Meet and owner of edredas of Charlotte, the largest Porsche 944 specialty shop in the US.

You are seeing this private page because you registered for the 2025 Porsche 944 Helen Meet. Not everyone has a Facebook page so this will be the best place to check for updates. Making this private will also allow us to keep track of everyone that will be coming.

If you have never been to Helen Georgia, it is an extremely busy, small German-styled town nestled in the mountains of Georgia. A perfect setting for our cars, since the mountain roads are an excellent place to put them through their paces.

Please note that if you are planning on bringing a passenger on the Mountain Run they must fill out a separate form and check the waiver. Otherwise they will not receive a Tee-shirt or be able to join you on the Mountain Run.

Note: Some of the times and locations may change between now an the event. So be sure to check back periodically. Also some of the images on this page are place holders from last year and will be updated to reflect this years design later on.

We will have people coming from all over. Many of us will be meeting up in the days before the event to drive down together.

The Northeast Group will meet on Thursday, June 5thh. If you are coming from the northeast and would like to ride down with this group, please make arrangements in the group email. The Northeast Group will stay the night in Charlotte, NC.

Friday, June 6th the Northeast Group will connect with the Charlotte group to make the drive to Helen. If you are running behind or coming down early, you can always just catch up with everyone in Charlotte.

The Charlotte Group will meet on Friday at Cracker Barrel (3203 Queen City Dr, Charlotte, NC 28208) at 10:00 am EST. There is a service station next door so all can fuel up! If you are wanting to join the Charlotte group, contact me in the group email.

The Nashville Group will also meet on Friday at the Pilot Travel Center (2441 South Church Street Murfreesboro, TN 37127) at 9:30 am CST. If you are wanting to join this group please contact Richard Hummel in the group email.

As we get closer to the event, the leaders of the groups will have their numbers listed here so you can contact them should you run late or get lost. We are also considering using Walkie Talkies, so bring them if you have them!

All groups should arrive in Helen around 3-3:30 pm EST.

Once in Helen we will meet in the Hampton Inn parking lot. For those of you in the Asheville, Greenville, and Atlanta areas, we should arrive around 3-3:30pm EST and you should meet us there even if you are staying elsewhere. The group will then walk over to the outside Gazebo at Betty's Market just across the street. From there we will hang out until its time to go to dinner.

We will be having dinner at Bodensee German Restaurant at 6PM.

After dinner we usually walk down the streets of Helen for desserts and take in the sights.

Saturday June 7th 8 am:

The plan is to have breakfast at Hofer's at 8 am. They do not take reservations so we'll have to get there early to get a table. It is a very busy place with a line around the corner often before they even open.

After Breakfast we will all go to the meet and greet:

When: 9 am

Where: Alpine Fun Factory, 115 Escowee Dr, Helen, GA 30545

The meet and greet will start at 9 am Saturday in the parking lot of Alpine Fun Factory (115 Escowee Dr, Helen, GA 30545). This year we will be heading out after the drivers orientation. Please be there early because we are leaving at 9:30 sharp.

The Spirited group with be the first group called at 9:30am and the second ‘Cruise’ group will be called at 9:35am. Please be present for your call time.

This year we will also be heading to Brasstown Bald to use their large parking lot for our car show, awards, and swag bag delivery. They really appreciate us there and have plenty of space for us to enjoy ourselves.

Please note that when you arrive at the gate, just let them know you are with the 944 group and they will let you in. Your purchase already covers entry.

After we have gone to the top of the lookout and given out the awards, we will be meeting back in Helen for lunch.

Gather with new and old friends for lunch or check out the Helen sights and activities. Dinner will also be on-your-own since most restaurants will not do reservations because of the busy season. Many of us meet at Cowboys and Angels, a restaurant located at: 60 Chattahoochee Strasse, Helen, GA 30545 However, feel free to go wherever you wish!

Sunday June 8th 9AM:

Some of us waking up in Helen will meet for breakfast and hang around exploring the town till midday. Afterwards, we will head back home and start planning next year’s event!
